Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the boxbox app and the boxbox website (the “Service”), operated by Fortune App Inc. (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

boxbox provides lap timing, telemetry recording and analysis, session replay, AI-assisted coaching, and live session sharing for motorsport, using a compatible GPS device and your phone. Features may change, break, or be removed, and availability is not guaranteed.

Your account

Some features require an account. You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to it secure. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; deletion removes your account data as described in our privacy policy.

Safety first

Motorsport is dangerous. The Service is an informational tool: it is not a safety device, does not replace marshals, flags, track rules, or your own judgment, and must never be interacted with while driving. You are solely responsible for driving within your abilities and for complying with the rules of the venue and sanctioning body you race under.

AI features

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to generate coaching feedback and insights from your session data. AI output can be wrong. It is provided for information only and is not professional instruction; treat it accordingly.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no unauthorized access, scraping, reverse engineering except where the law permits it, interference with other users, or use of the Service to break the law or the rules of a racing venue.

Your content and data

Your telemetry and session data remain yours. You grant us the license needed to store, process, and display that data to operate the Service, including features you invoke, such as sharing a session with other viewers. Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

Paid features and subscriptions

The core Service is free. Where paid features are offered, their pricing and any additional terms are presented before you buy.

Paid plans are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions: the subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period at the price shown at purchase, until cancelled. Cancel anytime, at least 24 hours before the current period ends, and you keep access until the period runs out. Subscriptions bought through the App Store are billed to your Apple Account and are managed and cancelled in iOS Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions; Apple’s refund rules apply. Subscriptions bought on the web are managed and cancelled from the billing portal linked in the app (Manage subscription). Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the displayed price unless cancelled before the trial ends.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the same extent, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or CAD $50.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be indicated by the date above and, when reasonable, an in-app or on-site notice. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, and we may assign these terms to an affiliate or successor operator of the Service; your rights under them are unaffected. You can stop using the Service, and delete your account, at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
